This mic is a great starter side-address condenser. it handles fairly high SPL and has a fairly linear frequency response. I have used it on B3, Guitar Cabs and as Drum Overheads. I have found it to add some coloration on the top end, but nothing that can't be dealt with. For the price, it can be tossed around and left onstage without having to worry about it.
Everything included seems of good design, it looks as though it will last a long while. The cable is just the right length for home studio and doesn't give me any problems.
It features a side-address design and can be used in critical home, project, or professional studio applications as well as live performances. The microphone offers a cardioid polar pattern for minimal feedback and off-axis noise. The element and output stage combine to produce a smooth yet natural audio quality with low noise. There is an 80 Hz high-pass filter switch for eliminating low frequency hum and other associated noises, and a -10 dB pad switch provides more headroom when capturing transient signals that may otherwise cause peak distortion. The microphone also includes a shock mount, a threaded adapter, and a protective pouch.
